Fable II review

Greetings, after playing Lionhead’s Fable II to completion, I am now ready to post my review.

I’ll start off with my initial thoughts. First off, I had only played some of the initial Fable previously, never delved too deep into the story or game itself. With this game being a sequel and all I can’t exactly tell you how it measures up to the previous version, I can tell you however that it seems to have had a warmer reception. Mostly because Peter Molyneux, the game’s director, didn’t promise the world this time.

More after the break!

PSN demos of the week: Mirror’s Edge and Tom Clancy’s EndWar + Bonus PSP game demo

Hey guys.

Well the PSN update today had some pretty epic stuff. Well, mostly just the Mirror’s Edge demo, and the EndWar demo which I had no idea they were releasing. There’s also a WWE Smackdown VS Raw demo and an Alone in the Dark demo, but I don’t care about those.

So here i’ll be giving my first impressions on both those demos. And a little bonus after that

The new Death note authors series: Bakuman

A Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump manga written and drawn by two mangaka about two high-schoolers wanting to make a manga that will have an anime based on it by the time they’re 18 by trying to get published in Shueisha’s Weekly Shounen Jump? Did you see the pattern? What kind of concept is that? It must be totally boring… right? Well so far, it’s pretty awesome, chapter 12 being published this week, and well, we’re starting to get a sense of where everything is going.

Bakuman has an interesting story

DS Review – Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia

The Castlevania series, other than a few black sheep, has always been a quality series. In the recent years, handheld consoles have been getting lots of high-quality Castlevania love, especially the GBA and the DS. Now comes the latest in the series on the Nintendo DS.

This one does keep the usual Metroidvania style, but does a few things a bit differently. Is this game still as high-quality as previous DS/GBA Castlevania titles? Read on to see!

One Outs: First Impressions

I just finished watching the first episode of One Outs, and I just HAD to come and make a post here.

One Outs is made by MadHouse and the same team who created badass anime series Akagi and Kaiji. Of course when I learned that that team was making a new series (this time, from what i understand, it’s not based off a manga like Akagi and Kaiji), I was really anxious to see what they were gonna do. When I saw it was a baseball anime, I wasn’t too sure about it, but just based on the people who are making it I still decided to give it a chance.

So is it any good? Let’s check it out

Should have stocked up on US currency when there was parity.

Seriously. 1 USD is worth 1,27 CAD.

Let’s say I had bought for 1 000 USD.  That’s a no effort $270.

The economy is a mess right now. 😦

I hope it doesn’t affect the gaming industry too much.

Collectors Edition news (Fable 2)

Hi all!

I’m going to write a quick blurb for now. As many of you noticed on Tuesday, Fable 2’s gimped collectors edition had a small issue. Some copies, the ones without the orange xbox live stickers, didn’t come with your five by five (as major nelson calls them) for your special DLC. This issues as of right now is still not resolved however within minutes of this issue being raised microsoft set up a website for the master chiefless, covenant swordless folk to get their codes.

Verify the following link regularly, they hope to have this fixed by the 28th.

Music (really short) review: AC/DC, Black Ice

In general, AC/DC has always had its own unique sound. Overall great rock, high energy all-around, and just fun to listen to(and how can you not like).

It’s been 8 years since the last AC/DC album. So does Black Ice retain the same quality as previous AC/DC albums? Let’s check it out! Continue reading ‘Music (really short) review: AC/DC, Black Ice’

Rock Band 2: First impressions/Mini-review

Hey everyone.
Well, Rock Band 2 just came out on the PS3, so of course I got it right when the store opened.

So, considering I played the first Rock Band extensively, I don’t really feel the need to make a really long review for this one, since it’s basically the same thing other than new songs and some enhanced features. So I’ll basically talk about the setlist, the new features… and that’s it. If you want to know how the game plays check out some videos! Let’s go!
